AI-DAPT Chairs Special Session on Adaptive and Trustworthy AI Pipelines at ICE IEEE/ITMC 2026

The AI-DAPT team, in collaboration with our European partners and collaborators — including UNINOVA, Athena Research Center, Suite5 Data Intelligence Solutions, University of Cyprus, UPC School (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), Fraunhofer FOKUS, domx, South East Technological University — is proud to announce our special session on Advancing Adaptive and Trustworthy AI Pipelines at the ICE IEEE/ITMC 2026 Conference in Porto, Portugal.

As artificial intelligence adoption accelerates across industries and society, the gap between experimental AI models and robust, real-world deployments has become more critical than ever. Key challenges include ensuring data quality, lifecycle management, explainability, adaptability, and regulatory compliance. These factors increasingly determine whether AI solutions succeed outside the lab.

The AI-DAPT-led special session will focus on the full lifecycle of AI pipelines, from data foundations to hybrid Science–AI models, model training and deployment, lifecycle monitoring, and analytics. It will highlight cutting-edge approaches for data-centric AI, human-in-the-loop automation, hybrid modeling, and trustworthy AI-by-design, offering insights for both research and industrial practice.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Data-centric AI practices: data curation, annotation, valuation, and quality assurance
  • AI pipeline orchestration and automation (MLOps, AutoML, adaptive AI)
  • Hybrid modeling and explainable AI
  • Lifecycle management and monitoring of AI systems under distribution shifts
  • Trust, safety, ethics, and regulatory alignment in AI solutions
  • Applications demonstrating impactful AI across sectors through robust pipelines

By combining perspectives from academia, research projects, and industry, this session will provide a forum for sharing experiences, methodologies, and lessons learned from multi-domain AI deployments in healthcare, energy, robotics, manufacturing, and beyond.
